Jungle Tribe: Geometric vs Asymmetrical Cuff
Code: DB-JT11
Designer's Note:
Geometric marking vs random splattering. thats whats going on here. a battle between the two modes of thought.
make random cuts and placements on the leather versus mark out the position of the rivets with a ruler and silver pen.
the center point of this cuff is the druzy stone sealed in by the the fish skin, which is cut from a symmetric pattern. the rivets are put in symetric position, equally placed and spaced.
the rest of the cuff displays random symmetry, where cuts arent planned or marked out, and neither are the placement of rivets or grommets. amongst all the randomness a balance does form.
two totally different schools of thought, two ways of thinking. this cuff could have the power to help thinking things out from two perspectives.
nature is a perfect visual representation of the peaceful balance between symmetry and asymmetry. the natural environment that displays the balance is the inspiration for this cuff. it holds an equal standing in the galactic gothic graveyard series. it is inspired by night time trips in graveyards, where the moon and stars and clouds in the overhead landscape provide visual and mental stimulation and investigation by way of shimmering light slices and darkened shadows cast onto gothic grey tombstones that pillar everything good and evil that exists under the ground...
