Product Description
James Kearns London
1 of 2 pairs ever made in Nile perch leather, caught in Africa and tanned in Europe. The tannery no longer produces perch. The scales provide a beautiful texture.
Style is similar to Rick Owens Geobaskets, but completely artisanal. Fully handmade by James Kearns. Each midsole band takes 3 hours to stitch by hand. Laces are goat leather, extra long to wrap around the sneakers. Eyelets are naturally rusted over months.
Worn sparingly, 9/10 condition.
Selling because I've been wearing boots more often.
About the Designer
James Kearns has had a profound connection to Avant-Garde fashion from an early age. Inspired by traditional methods and with the highest quality materials, he breathes new life into the way we use and wear leather.
Every shoe is designed and produced with very little machinery. The leather is carefully selected to showcase its unique markings and blemishes, and with very traditional (and some more inventive techniques), James is able to create a range of superior footwear, that is unique in style and production. The self-taught designer has a love for materials that are difficult to source, and alongside the care that goes in to the production, James is able to offer his clients a unique and personal retail experience.
